Bradley C. Svrluga joined The Berkshires Capital Investors in August 1999 and is a Managing Director.
At BCI, Mr. Svrluga has responsibilities in all aspects of fund management, including deal sourcing, due diligence, negotiation and portfolio management. He is a Director at several BCI portfolio companies, where in addition to board activities, he plays an active role in supporting company management through his regular involvement on key strategic and operational issues.
Prior to joining BCI, Mr. Svrluga was a senior consultant with Monitor Company, a premier international consulting firm, where he managed projects in the firm's Cambridge, MA, Johannesburg, South Africa, and São Paolo, Brazil, offices. His work at Monitor focused on mergers and acquisitions advising, market entry and new business development, and marketing strategy. He consulted to senior management at Fortune 50 clients in the consumer products, technology, and pharmaceuticals industries as well as working with the Leadership Team of Monitor's marketing practice.
Mr. Svrluga is actively involved in the Western Massachusetts community, and is a Director of The Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts Foundation; a Director of The Chamber of Commerce of the Berkshires; on the Executive and Marketing Committees of The Berkshire Council for Growth; a Trustee of the Williamstown Savings Bank; a Director of Images Cinema; and a Director of the Summer Search Foundation.
In addition, Mr. Svrluga is actively involved in the technology community of
New York’s Capital Region. He is a regular panelist at the Venture B-Plan Series co-sponsored by the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Incubator and the Center for Economic Growth; a finalist judge at the RPI Business Plan Competition; and a Panelist for the Smart Start Venture Forum. Mr. Svrluga is also a member of the Tech Valley Angel Network.
Mr. Svrluga is a resident of Williamstown, MA and holds a BA in economics from Williams College. While at Williams Mr. Svrluga Treasurer of the College Council and captain of the rugby team.
