George D. Kennedy is retired Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Mallinckrodt Group, Inc., and International Minerals and Chemicals, both Fortune 250 companies. He is currently a Director and Chairman of the governance committee of Kemper National, a Director of Kemper Foundation, a member of the board of directors and Chairman of the audit committee of Brunswick Corp., Skokie, IL, and a member of the board of directors and Chairman of the audit committee of Illinois Tool Works, Inc., Chicago. He is also a member of the board of directors of Scotsman Industries Inc., Vernon Hills, IL, American National Can Company, Chicago, Stone Container Corp., Chicago. A 1948 graduate of Williams College, he and his wife have been residents of Williamstown for the last twelve years.
